POOL CLOSED ON JULY 20TH
Our pool will be closed on July 20th to allow the lifeguards to compete in our annual lifeguard competition.For the competition each lifeguard team will participate in a variety of lifesaving events. The benefits of our lifeguarding staff participating in the lifeguard competition are numerous. The lifeguards are given the opportunity to train and compete as a team, much the same as they would have to respond in a real aquatic or medical emergency. The facility and members benefit by having well-trained, skilled, and motivated lifeguards as a result of the competition.
Kids Night Out - July 25

Boys ages 2-11 will enjoy a fun-filled night of dinner, swimming (ages 5-11), and making their own robot.
Girls ages 2-11 will enjoy dinner, swimming and the movie "Robots."

Give your preschooler a terrific summer experience. Kids get a taste of camp in two-week sessions that include field trips, special guests, camp songs and arts and crafts as well as science, math, literacy and even cooking. Challenger's Adaptive Sports Help All Children Score!
The YMCA of Greater Kansas City’s inclusive programming offers the Challenger program with sports for special-need kids (ages 5-16). Do you know a child with autism, PDD or Aspergers who might enjoy sports activities designed just for them? Please encourage their families to contact the Y to learn about these unique opportunities. YMCA Guest Policy
With all of our friends and family in town we wanted to remind you of our guest policies.
- Members over the age of 16 years old may bring one guest per visit.
- Each guest is asked to bring a photo ID and complete a guest pass.
- Guests may visit the YMCA three times per calendar year.
- Guests under the age of 13 should be supervised by guardian who is 16 years of age or older.
- Guests visiting the YMCA are asked to either come in with a member or have a guest pass with them.

Summer is here, but the time is now to sign up for fall sports at the YMCA. This fall we are offering flag football, basketball, youth go-kart, bitty soccer & bitty flag football to players age 3-14 (varies by sport) as well as several adult sports such as; basketball and volleyball. The deadline to register for fall sports at the YMCA is Monday, August 25. If you are planning to play sports this fall why not play with the YMCA?
